English -
I learned about the importance of service-learning and reflecting on your service experiences from this class. I also liked making the video about our life stories during this class. In addition the projects and papers we wrote related to service was also enriching.
Science of Water
Political Science -
I definitely put the most amount of studying and reading for this class and I believe that through it I developed a greater foundation and understanding of the American political system.
Honors Forum

Constitutional Law -
I found this class useful because I realized that I was interested in learning about the court cases and could easily understand the subject matter and decision making processes behind them.
Public Policy -
This class allowed me to apply what we learned about public policy into real world situations. In addition, I was able to spend more time reflecting on the service site and projects from the fall semester.
Elementary Korean
Art History II -
I have never memorized so many paintings and sculptures in my life, but I found this class to be rewarding because it has made me into a more well-rounded, cultured person and has further increased my appreciation for the arts.

Poli 260-Comparative Politics
In this class I learned about and compared case studies of several countries. It was challenging but I definitely gained a significant amount of knowledge about different governmental systems and history of the countries we studied.
Psych 280- Abnormal Psychology
I've always been interested in different psychological disorders, especially schizophrenia, so I found this class very interesting.
Hon 300 - International Law, War, Terrorism
Through this class I gained knowledge and became interested in the "responsibility to protect' and chose this topic for my final research paper for this class.
GES 110- Physical Geography
Kore 201 - Intermediate Korean
Spring 2011 (study abroad)
North Korean Politics and Society
This class was very interesting because little is known about North Korea and it was a great opportunity to have taken this course. I learned a lot about policy issues involving the nuclear weapon programs in addition to the information about the lives of the people and their philosophies/ attitude about their government and the US.
Korean Beginner III
This was a 6 credit intensive language course. Met everyday for two hours to learn how to improve writing and reading skills. I took this course because it is one of my goals to become fluent in Korean.
Korean Topics on Language and Culture
Through this class I was able to learn specific things about Korean culture (influence of Confucianism/ Korean people's jeong) in addition to the romanization of the korean alphabet and how it was formed.
Korean Contemporary Film
This class was also very interesting because we dicussed various aspects of Korean soceity in relation to Korean film, anywhere from political issues to teenage life.

ENGL 271: Intro to Creative Writing-Fiction
This class taught me techniques to write my own short story.
HONR 390: Reflections on Community Service/ PRAC 96
I volunteered at BIM (see experiential learning section for more details) and reflected on my experience through writing a paper and answering weekly reflection questions.
PSYC 210: Psychology of Learning
This class increased my knowledge on behavioral aspect of psychology.
PSYC 317: Cognitive Psychology
I learned many interesting facts about how the human brain perceives information through this class; the optical illusions and memory chapters were very interesting. I was also able to apply what I learned in this class to help the students that I tutor and teach.
PSYC 380: Personality
This class refreshed my knowledge on influential people in the field of Psychology, such as Sigmund Freud, Erickson, etc. The professor of this class worked in the field of clinical psychology and I enjoyed listening to the stories that he shared about his experiences in relation to the material that we were learning.

DANC 110: Begin Modern Dance
HONR 300: Honors Seminar: HIV/AIDS
I entered this class with only a basic knowledge of HIV/AIDS and through the extensive readings and written assignments I gained valuable insight about human behavior and about HIV/AIDS.
PSYC 200: Child Development
This is the first class that I've taken in which we were required to read the entire textbook (15 chapters) from cover to cover. We were also required to participate in online activities and to complete written assignments. I enjoyed learning a large amount of information through this class about developmental psychology.
PSYC 331: Experimental Psych
PSYC 346: Industrial Psych
This class gave me insight on how psychology is used in workplaces. For this class I also was given the opportunity to interview a clinical psychologist and then write an evaluation paper on this occupation.
